Studio membership

Join our thriving clay community and gain access to a professional studio where creativity meets connection. Whether you’re a hobbyist or a dedicated maker, our memberships are designed to provide the support, space, and resources you need to bring your ideas to life.

Membership Tiers

  • Clay Community: £165 per month – Up to 10 hours per week of studio access.

  • Clay Hub Maker’s Membership: £300–£450 per month – Unlimited access during studio opening hours.

Membership Benefits

  • Use of studio equipment.

  • Reasonable use of studio glazes and slips.

  • Personal storage shelf/area.

  • Opportunity to showcase and sell work through our studio and online shop (additional charges apply).

  • Participation in open studios and events.

  • Monthly skill refresher/masterclasses with our team (last Saturday of each month).

  • Free parking and access to communal kitchen, toilet, and seating areas.

  • WiFi access (for general use only – no large downloads, please).

Facilities

Our fully equipped studio includes:

  • Tools for hand-building and throwing (we encourage members to bring their own batts, storage boxes, and reclaim buckets).

  • Communal shelves for large works and additional clay storage.

  • Kilns available for communal firings and private hire.

Kiln Firing Information

  • Firing costs are based on the space your work occupies in the kiln.

  • Estimated 2–3 week wait time for firing.

  • Technicians handle kiln loading and unloading.

  • Private kiln hire is available (slots are limited and require booking in advance).

Opening Hours

  • Monday: Closed

  • Tuesday–Wednesday: 11am – 9pm

  • Thursday: 10am – 8pm

  • Friday: 10am – 9pm

  • Saturday–Sunday: 10am – 5pm

Membership Terms

  • A minimum commitment of 3 months.

  • 1-month notice required to end membership.

  • Weekly/monthly hours do not carry over.

  • Membership suspension is available for 1–2 months with a 50% holding fee.

  • Members are responsible for cleaning up their space and adhering to COSHH guidelines.

Additional Information

  • Visitors are welcome with prior notification (guest passes: £15 per hour).

  • Technicians are available but primarily focused on studio operations. Private tuition is available for more in-depth assistance (£40/hour for 1:1, £60/hour for 1:2).

  • End of Membership: Please clear all personal belongings and work before your membership concludes. No access to space or firing will be permitted afterward.

Health and Safety

We are committed to maintaining a safe, inclusive studio environment. Members must:

  • Follow cleaning protocols to minimize silica dust.

  • Use shared resources respectfully and return items to their designated places.

  • Be mindful of others' space and boundaries, especially during busy periods.

Bella Jones Ceramics does not tolerate discrimination or hate speech. Any violations will result in immediate termination of membership.
